Philip Glass and Steve Reich to perform together for first time in 30 years
Renowned minimalist composers Philip Glass and Steve Reich are set to perform together live in New York as part of a Nonesuch Records festival series.
It will be the musicians’ first joint performance for 30 years, since an alleged disagreement between the pair in the 1970s. Steve Reich and Musicians and the Philip Glass Ensemble will play a series of compositions over the course of three nights at the Brooklyn Academy of Music between 9-11 September.
The pair performed a similar event at London’s Southbank in 2013, but on separate nights.
