Pharrell Williams says he'll tour with Daft Punk “next year”
Pharrell Williams looks set to follow his recent high-profile team up with Daft Punk on their new single ‘Get Lucky’ by hitting the road with the French electro pair. Or so he says.
With rumours rumbling all year that the band are planning a tour, despite the group’s Thomas Bangalter telling Rolling Stone earlier this year that they have “no current plans” to do so, Pharrell has seemingly added a little more substance to the matter – quoted by the New York Post as pretty much confirming things.
“Producer and recording artist Pharrell Williams, who has a hit singing on Daft Punk’s single “Get Lucky,” tells Page Six he’ll tour with the French DJ duo,” the publication wrote yesterday. “But fans will have to wait, as Williams says he’ll hit the road with them “next year”.”
FACT point out, however, that a” representative of the group” has “since denied this” claim.
Daft Punk’s comeback album, Random Access Memories is set to drop on 20 May. Check out just how excited Pharrell would be on tour with the duo by watching his very first performance of ‘Get Lucky’ below:
