Peter Hook is writing a 768-page book about his time in New Order
Peter Hook has announced Substance, his third book and an autobiographical account of his time in New Order.
Hook, formerly of New Order and Joy Division, spends 768 pages detailing his time in New Order, from the beginnings in 1980 to his departure in 2007.
Hook currently plays with his band The Light; they are set to perform at London's O2 Forum Kentish Town on 17 September, performing the entirety of Joy Division compilation album Substance.
Substance (the book) will follow The Hacienda: How Not To Run A Club and Unknown Pleasures: Inside Joy Division. It's out 6 October.
Amazon's description of Substance reads:
Peter Hook has written a no-holds-barred, comprehensive account of the band's entire history, packed with outrageous anecdotes and including every set list and tour itinerary and interspersed with 'geek facts' of every piece of electronic equipment used to forge the sound that changed the direction of popular music.
