Perfume Genius performs cover of Leonard Cohen's "Bird On The Wire" for KCRW session
Perfume Genius debuted a cover of Leonard Cohen's "Bird On The Wire" during yesterday's KCRW In Residence session.
Mike Hadreas, aka Perfume Genius, started his KCRW In Residence session yesterday (8 September) by performing two tracks from his latest album Set My Heart On Fire Immediately - "On The Floor" and "Jason".
The 11-minute session also saw Hadreas debut a rendition of Leonard Cohen's "Bird On The Wire".
Before performing the Cohen cover, Perfume Genius explains that if he could play it anywhere, he would "want to play in a big church with a big pipe organ, or if we could somehow get the pipe organ into like a deep dark cave."
First session with the band! Sang “Bird on the Wire” on my own too. @mbeKCRW https://t.co/dK2CQikDk6
