Perfume Genius announces remix album featuring A. G. Cook, Jenny Hval, Actress and more
Perfume Genius has announced IMMEDIATELY Remixes, a full remix album of last year's Set My Heart On Fire Immediately, featuring contributions from A. G. Cook, Jenny Hval, Actress and more.
Every track from Set My Heart On Fire Immediately will be remixed for IMMEDIATELY Remixes, beginning with Boy Harsher's take on "Your Body Changes Everything", which is accompanied by a video co-directed by Boy Harsher's Jae Matthews and Caitlin Driscoll.
IMMEDIATELY Remixes will include contributions from numerous big names, including PC Music's A. G. Cook, Jim-E Stack, Danny L Harle, Jaakko Eino Kaleivi, Planningtorock, Jenny Hval, Initial Talk, Nídia, Westerman, Actress, Koreless and Katie Dey.
Perfume Genius, real name Mike Hadreas says of the album, "I'm very honoured to have all these incredible musicians rework these songs. I felt personally remixed listening to their versions, hearing the spirit of my song completely transformed was very magical. Each one feels like a little portal to a fucked up shared world."
