Pere Ubu/DNA bassist Tim Wright passes away

Original bassist with experimental rock group Pere Ubu, Tim Wright has died – reports say.
As Billboard note, Wright left the group in 1978 to join no-wave outfit DNA. He continued his association with the band until they disbanded in 1982.
Wright made an appearance in with the band in film Downtown 81, starring alongside Jean-Michel Basquiat.
Our thoughts are with Wright’s friends and family at this time.
