
Paul McCartney says Taylor Swift rescheduled Evermore release date to avoid clash
Paul McCartney has revealed that Taylor Swift rescheduled her Evermore release date a couple of times so it wouldn't clash with his McCartney III album.
Tomorrow (18 December) McCartney will release his McCartney III album, and while appearing on The Howard Stern Show, the former Beatle revealed that Taylor Swift reached out to make sure her Evermore album wouldn't clash with his album release date.
Swift's second surprise album Evermore dropped last Friday (11 December).
McCartney told Howard Stern, "I did the Rolling Stone cover with Taylor Swift, and she just emailed me recently, and she said, ‘I wasn’t telling anyone, but I’ve got another album,' And she said, ‘So I was going to put it out on my birthday', which I think was the 10th, and then she said 'But I found out you were going to put it [yours] out on the 10th, so I moved to the 18th.' And then she found out we were coming out on the 18th so she moved back to the 10th."
He added, "So I mean, you know, people do keep out of each other’s way. It’s a nice thing to do."
