Patti Smith and Ronnie Spector lead line-up for In the Round 2019 at London's Roundhouse
Patti Smith, Ronnie Spector, and Shirley Collins will play at the Roundhouse's annual In The Round event next January, showcasing an eclectic mix of artists in a rare, intimate setting.
Taking place from 22-31 January 2019, the seven-night event features a series of shows devoted to intimate performances set in the venue’s iconic main space, staged in a rarely seen fully-seated concert set up. Also playing will be Ana Moura, Fatima, The Hot Sardines and This Is The Kit, with more acts to be annoucned.
Beginning in 2016, previous performers have included John Cale, Julian Cope, Rokia Traoré, Gaz Coombes, Marianne Faithfull, Jaga Jazzist, Martha Wainwright, Ghetts, Lambchop, Tiger Lillies, Matthew E White, and Mulatu Astatke, Beth Orton, Nadine Shah, GoGo Penguin and Oumou Sangaré.
As part of the Roundhouse’s commitment to developing emerging talent, each night young artists who use the Roundhouse’s Paul Hamlyn Roundhouse Studios will also perform as support acts for the headline artist.
