Palma Violets, Fat White Family and more for NME Awards Tour 2015
The NME Awards Tour 2015 (in association with Austin, Texas) line-up has been revealed. It will be the 20th anniversary of the tour.
It's a gauntlet of indie scuzz, punk fervour and rock hellfire, with Palma Violets, Fat White Family, The Amazing Snakeheads and Slaves all performing on the tour.
Tickets will go on general sale Friday at 9am (21 November), with an NME.com presale available on Wednesday (19 November). All tickets sold will include a 50p donation to the Teenage Cancer Trust.
Palma Violets' Chilli Jesson spoke of his excitement about the tour:
"I think this will go down as one of the greatest package tours that NME has had. I'm really excited to be going on tour with bands I really respect and listen to in my own time. Amazing Snakeheads are the best live band I saw all last year and last time I saw Fat White Family they made the place absolutely light up. They're bands that are giving everything."
NME editor Mike Williams, added:
"Every year this tour brings together the most breathtaking acts new music has to offer, and 2015 is no different. I think next year's line-up showcases everything that's great about British rock music right now, and so to have these four eclectic bands all head out on the road together in our 20th year of putting the tour on is especially thrilling."
