Outside Lands 2020 cancelled, Tame Impala, Lizzo and more confirmed for 2021
San Francisco's Outside Lands 2020 festival has been cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic, but they've already confirmed Tame Impala, Lizzo, and more for next year's event.
This year's Outside Lands festival has been cancelled due to the ongoing pandemic, but organisers have already confirmed some of the names performing at next year's event.
Tame Impala, Lizzo, The Strokes, Tyler, The Creator, Vampire Weekend, The 1975, Kehlani, J Balvin, Khruangbin, Bonobo, Big Thief, Sharon Van Etten, Mahalia, Hinds, Yves Tumor, The Beths, Nap Eyes, and many others have been confirmed for 2021.
Announcing the cancellation of this year's festival on socials yesterday (24 June), organisers wrote, "We would love nothing more than to be with you this August, listening to our favourite artists in Golden Gate Park and celebrating the best of the Bay Area for our 13th consecutive Outside Lands. After lengthy discussions with local and state health authorities about the impact of COVID-19 both in our community and throughout the world, we believe it is in the best interest of everyone’s health and safety that Outside Lands not be held in 2020."
Those that bought tickets for this year's event will be able to use those tickets for next year. Full refunds are also available.
