OUTLYA harness a potent pop energy for new single "Volcano"
Pop trio OUTLYA have today released their new Volcano EP featuring a bright, shining beacon of a title track.
The short-player also features their songs "Howl" and "The Light", and was produced with Dan Grech-Marguerat (The Vaccines, Radiohead).
"Volcano" is buoyed by euphoric brass that erupts from behind wrought-iron hooks and sparkling vocals. It's another gigantic cannon in their arsenal - OUTLYA's innate knack for to-the-rafters anthems is staggering, and it can't be long before they're lighting up bigger and bigger venues.
"'Volcano' is a song about teetering on the edge of something familiar instead of jumping into something new, and the conflicting feelings that arise from being in that place," explain OUTLYA. "We've had this song for a long time but never really gave it the chance it deserved; and after seeing the amazing response it got at our festivals this summer, we knew we had to record it. When we took the song to our producer Dan we kept things simple and tried to recreate the euphoria we feel when we play it live."
