The Outernet London district has revealed the names of two new venues opening this summer, as well as announcing the programming team joining the venues.

Back in March it was revealed that a new live events venue called Outernet Live was coming to London's Tottenham Court Road, where Astoria was once located.

Today (31 May) it's been announced that Outernet London will feature two live events venues. The first is called HERE at Outernet, while the second - located on Denmark Street - is called The Lower Third, a tribute to David Bowie's early group.

HERE at Outernet will be a 2000-capacity venue, and has welcomed concert promoter, musician and broadcaster Leo Green as artistic director. He says, "When this opportunity came along, it was simply too good to turn down. From a venue standpoint, this is the most exciting development that has happened to London’s Music, Arts & Culture scene in a very long time. The team at Outernet Live, that Robert, Karrie & Tristan have put together is tremendously exciting and I can’t wait to welcome all of the UK’s incredible Promoters, to both of our venues."

Chloe Mitchell has joined the team as programming manager after successfully managing the launch of Omeara in 2016, and being the head of music for the Flat Iron Square district. HERE at Outernet has also welcomed Nicolas Matar and Simon Denby as electronic music directors.

The Lower Third will be located where 12 Bar once was, and is expected to host a variety of live music, dance, comedy, immersive theatre, awards shows and more when it opens in summer.
