Orlando Weeks previews second solo album with new single "Bigger"
Orlando Weeks has delivered new cut "Bigger" as the fourth previews of his upcoming second solo album Hop Up.
"Bigger", accompanied by another Rik Burnell-directed video, is produced by Bullion, and stars Katy J Pearson, Bethan Laura Wood, Mark Farry and Weeks.
Weeks says of the new release, ""Bigger" is the all stomping little brother to the head nod of "Deep Down". Part of the song is about recognising that a person or people can be your world. And if that person or people is growing up right in front of you then in a very actual way their growth is your growth. With a little post rationalising I also realise that the process of making Hop Up was a revelation. Embracing the cloud 9 ethos of the album, opened my mind up to a whole area of music that I’d always consigned to being beyond my jurisdiction."
Hop Up, Weeks' second solo album, will follow last year's debut A Quickening, and will include previous singles "Look Who's Talking Now", Katy J Pearson collaboration "Big Skies, Silly Faces" and "Deep Down Way Out".
As well as featuring Katy J Pearson, the album has appearances from Willie J Healey and Ben Reed (part of Frank Ocean’s live band).
