Orchards unveil bright new track "Magical Thinking"
Brighton's Orchards have unveiled bright new track "Magical Thinking", lifted from their forthcoming debut album Lovecore.
"Magical Thinking" is the third single to be shared from Lovecore, after "Sincerely Overwhelmed" and "Sooner".
Expanding on the new track, Orchards say, "Mental health as a conversation topic is more important than ever and this track is our anthem of hope and validation. This track is for anyone who has suffered and who has ever felt lost. You are never alone and asking for help is never shameful. Let the joy in this track bring you a little love and happiness. It's a party song, so dance around your bedroom and release some endorphins."
Lovecore will also feature other previous Orchards track "Luv You 2", which was originally released in 2018.
Speaking about their debut album, Orchards explain, "It's our statement, a flag in the ground letting people know we're here and this is exactly what we're all about. It's the product of years of touring, meeting new people, hard times, good times, loss, friendships and growth. We're starting a party and everyones invited."
Discussing their chirpy tunes in a new interview with Best Fit, Orchards vocalist Lucy Evers says, "In the grand scheme of things, we're a little band. We're not, you know, The 1975. I think that's why we write such positive and chirpy music so to speak because that lifts people's energy, what we want when they come to our shows — to be super positive and just have a really good time. Our audiences just want to be there to have fun, which is exactly what we want to do on stage because why would you not?"
