Only Real - nom de guerre of London hip-pop-rock singer-songwriter Niall Galvin - has unleashed a scuzztacular new Brit-psych tune into the either. It's called "Yesterdays" and it could've been torn from the crossfire of Blur vs. Oasis in the mid-'90s.
There's a dreamy element in the flickering riffs, and released six months ago we'd have a summer anthem on our hands. As it is, we're presented with an ice-melting paean to halcyon memories.
Dan Carey (Franz Ferdinand, Hot Chip) produced "Yesterdays" which will feature on Galvin's debut LP; details are scant, but it is expected early 2015.
