Olympic Stadium to host gigs this summer
After various mishaps during Hyde Park events last summer, LiveNation look set to move future gigs to London’s Olympic Stadium.
The promoters are reported to be unhappy after a series of technical failures, noise complaints and, more infamously, Bruce Springsteen getting the plug pulled during a duet with Sir Paul McCartney.
Now they appear to be in talks with the Olympic Stadium over the possibility of hosting shows there instead next time around.
Dennis Hone, of the London Legacy Development Corporation, told the BBC that the venue has “the opportunity to put on some major events in the park, some music events and festival.”
There will also be a special handful of shows taking place on 27 and 28 July 2013 to mark the one year anniversary of the London Olympics.
