Olivia Rodrigo confirms new concert film will feature an unreleased Sour track
Olivia Rodrigo has revealed that her upcoming Disney+ concert film driving home 2 u (a SOUR film) will feature an unreleased Sour song in the end credits.
Later this monthh Rodrigo will release driving home 2 u (a SOUR film) on Disney+, and in a new interview with Rolling Stone, Rodrigo revealed that an unreleased Sour track will make an appearance during the film's end credits.
According to the piece, the unreleased Sour song is an iPhone demo which is still in progress. Rodrigo said, "I was listening to some of them and heard it and thought, ‘Oh, it’s kind of good!’ With the film, I wanted people to have a new bit of Sour content with it."
driving home 2 u (a SOUR film) will see Rodrigo take a road trip from Salt Lake City to LA, and stop off at locations along the way to perform songs from her debut album. The film, directed by Stacey Lee, will feature guests including Jacob Collier, Blu DeTiger and Towa Bird.
The new film will arrive just over a week before the 2022 Grammys. Rodrigo has been nominated in all "Big Four" categories this year, including Album Of The Year, Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, and Best New Artist.
Last month Rodrigo confirmed that she has a "title for my next album and a few songs."
