Oliver Wilde's new track "Smothered" is a fabulous piece of glitched-out balladry
Bristol-based Oliver Wilde has shared the fuzzed-out beauty of "Smothered", the latest single from upcoming record Post-Frenz Container Buzz.
"Smothered" follows bezerk lead cut "Good Kind Of Froze" and screwy jam "You're So Kool-Aid" - it's got that confident melodic bent that Wilde's been wielding for a while now, but it also boasts an extended trip into psychedelia. It's a different side to what's arrived before, but a no less invigorating taste of things to come.
The new LP will follow acclaimed 2013 debut A Brief Introduction To Unnatural Lightyears and 2014 album Red Tide Opal In The Loose End Womb. Earlier this year Wilde released Long Hold Star An Infinite Abduction, a stop-gap maxi-EP, and told us all about it.
