Oliver Wilde releases surprise new record And This Is Where The Tragic Happens
Bristol-based artist Oliver Wilde has released a brand new album titled And This Is Where The Tragic Happens just a couple of months on from third LP Post-Frenz Container Buzz.
Described as a "free mixtape of unreleased music... to bootleg and share," the release collects offcuts that didn't make it onto any of his previous releases.
"[It's] thread delicately with strands of hyper analytical self-awareness, existential confusion, and all my demos that sounded too much like Elliott Smith songs to actually put on a record," Wilde notes of the release.
Post-Frenz Container Buzz arrived in February, containing singles such as "Smothered", "Good Kind Of Froze", and "You're So Kool-Aid". 2016 saw Wilde release of Long Hold Star An Infinite Abduction, a stop-gap maxi-EP - And This Is Where The Tragic Happens is Wilde's third full-length release in under a year.
Wilde tours with The Besnard Lakes this spring - check out the dates below.
