Of Montreal stream new song 'She Ain't Speakin' Now'
Indie art-rockers, Of Montreal have dropped new track ‘She Ain’t Speakin’ Now’ from their forthcoming album Lousy with Sylvianbriar.
The new song, obliviously influenced by the 1960s, sees Kevin Barnes’ mellow vocals and psychedelic guitar riffs combine. Barnes told Rolling Stone the meaning behind the new track:
“I wrote the song when both my wife and daughter were bedridden with a terrible illness……It was during the middle of our recording sessions for Sylvianbriar, so I was pretty paranoid about catching what they had. I would sort of hold my breath whenever I was near them. I wrote the song while fearing the worst. Fortunately, they both recovered.”
The album is out 7 October. Listen to the track below:
