Oberhofer links with Shamir and The Strokes' Nick Valensi on new song "SUNSHiiNE"

"SUNSHiiNE" is the third outing from Oberhofer's Smothered album, following "Let It Go" and "What Does It Mean To Me?".

Brad Oberhofer says of the track and collaboration, ""SUNSHiiNE" is a song about finding someone (or something) that makes one feel reassured about one’s existence as a whole, and keeping oneself spiritually open to such revelations. I’ve been a big fan of Shamir’s for a long time, and when I sent him the album demos, he listed "SUNSHiiNE" as a favorite. I have so much respect and admiration for Shamir and feel insanely grateful to have him on it. Nick Valensi (The Strokes) is a big part of the reason I started playing guitar, so it was an honor to have him play a solo on the track. (Jonathan) Rado and I really went crazy with the production on this one."

Smothered, which will follow 2015's Chronovision, will feature collaborations with Teddy Geiger, as well as other contributions from King Princess, Jónsi and Girlpool.
