Oberhofer announces first album in six years featuring Shamir, King Princess, Jónsi and more
Oberhofer is back with news of his first album in six years Smothered, which will feature contributions from Shamir, King Princess, Jónsi and more, and has released new track "Let It Go" to accompany the announcement.
Following the release of "What Does It Mean To Me?", Oberhofer has returned with "Let It Go", a second taster of his forthcoming record Smothered, which will follow 2015's Chronovision.
He says of the track, "life feels really heavy if you give insignificant things too much credence. I don’t need a big budget. I don’t need popularity. I just need an outlet to share the beauty I see."
Smothered will feature collaborations with Teddy Geiger, Shamir and Nick Valensi of The Strokes, as well as other contributions from King Princess, Jónsi and Girlpool.
