Nitin Sawhney details 10th record Dystopian Dream, airs Stealth collab "When I'm Gone"
Nitin Sawhney has announced a new record called Dystopian Dream and shared its lead cut "When I'm Gone (ft. Stealth)".
Dystopian Dream is Sawhney's 10th record in total, and centres around "political injustices home and overseas, alongside personal upheavals including the loss of his father in 2013." Talking about the album, Sawhney says: "I became increasingly disillusioned with the hypocritical world of politics, with immigrants (like my parents) once more being scapegoated and austerity measures being used to bludgeon the poorest and most vulnerable sections of society."
As well as the new record, Sawhney has announced a six-date tour of the U.K. - tickets will be available from Live Nation. Plans are being drawn up to adapt the album into a "fully choreographed show by the renowned Wang-Ramirez company",
Dystopian Dream is out on 6 November, and follows 2011 LP Last Days Of Meaning.
