Nick Cave shares heartfelt message paying tribute to late mother
Nick Cave has shared a heartfelt message on his The Red Hand Files site paying tribute to his mother who has passed away aged 93.
Normally Nick Cave uses his The Red Hand Files site to communicate directly with fans by answering questions, but his most recent post on the site is a message from Cave himself.
The heartfelt message is a note about his mother Dawn Cave, who has died aged 93.
He shared the post with an image of his mother, writing, "My beautiful mother passed gently away today. She was ninety-three years old. She was the most extraordinary woman and greatly loved. My family and I would like to thank the nurses at Cabrini Hospital in Brighton, Australia for their most wonderful care and kindness over the last few weeks."
Earlier this month, Cave announced the cinema release and live album for his Idiot Prayer solo performance film captured at Alexandra Palace during lockdown.
