Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds to premiere new film at Venice Film Festival
Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds have confirmed that new 3D feature film One More Time With Feeling will get its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival.
This showing will be the first time that anyone can hear music from upcoming record Skeleton Tree - Cave & Co. won't be releasing singles before it comes out in September.
The film, originally based around performance, evolved during production to become "something much more significant" that looks at the "tragic backdrop of the writing and recording of the album." As welll as live footage of the new album being performed will be "Cave’s intermittent narration and improvised rumination." It's filmed in black and white as well as colour, and in 2D and 3D.
Andrew Dominik has directed One More Time With Feeling, and he'll be attending the festival. The 73rd Venice Film Festival will run 31 August-10 September.
One More Time With Feeling will be in cinemas (in 2D and 3D) from 8 September. New album Skeleton Tree is released on 9 September.
