Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds have a haunting new song called "Jesus Alone"
Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds have unveiled a chilling, stark new song titled "Jesus Alone" from upcoming LP Skeleton Tree.
Despite initially not planning to release any music ahead of the album/film (One More Time With Feeling) being released, Cave & Co. have shared this solemn new track a week early. It's accompanied by an emotional perfomance video.
The film, originally based around performance, evolved during production to become "something much more significant" that looks at the "tragic backdrop of the writing and recording of the album." As welll as live footage of the new album being performed will be "Cave’s intermittent narration and improvised rumination." It's filmed in black and white as well as colour, and in 2D and 3D.
One More Time With Feeling will be in cinemas (in 2D and 3D) from 8 September. New album Skeleton Tree is released on 9 September.
