New website Global Breakfast Radio lets you hear morning broadcasts from wherever the sun is rising

Do you love morning radio? Do you want to listen to it all day, but there’s just not enough morning to go around? Well, good news. Thanks to a new website called Global Breakfast Radio, you can press play at any time of day and tune into the morning broadcast from a radio station located someplace where the sun is currently rising.

Global Broadcast Radio compares itself to “a plane flying west with the sunrise, constantly tracking the chatter and music of people in front of microphones across the planet.” The site uses an aggregator that streams a radio broadcast from anywhere within the specific time zone where the sun is currently rising, and even goes so far as to utilize background graphics specific to the region it’s broadcasting from.

Per their website: “In some small way, Global Breakfast Radio hopes to be a way of travelling globally through the medium of radio. It’s about the leap of imagination you make when you tune into a broadcast from a station hundreds or thousands of miles away – and for a time you hum the same song as a butcher in Memphis, a taxi driver in Jerusalem or a lawyer in Jakarta.”
