New Spice Girls rarities have been unearthed online

Normally it's artists on the cusp of releasing something new that suffer from leaks - Bjork and Madonna to name a few from recent times - but the long-dead Spice Girls (not counting the volatile reunion gumpf) have just had four old rarities chucked onto the Web.

Only a few versions survived the YouTube culling, one called "A Day In Your Life". It's unlikely to be a harbinger of anything new from the quar/quintet, but it's an interesting relic nonetheless.

Another, called "If It's Lovin' On Your Mind", reeks of Britney and Backstreet Boys. The Verge also reports that "Right Back at Ya (Pop version)" and "Pain Proof" - which they describe as being like "Lenny Kravitz's guitar, En Vogue's tempo, and Citizen King's record scratch collid[ing]" - found their way online before being pulled.

According to Noisey, the tracks are from the post-Geri Forever-era.
