New Order to release series of EPs, first new material in eight years
With New Order set to head on a mammoth tour of America during 2013, the band have revealed they’ll release a “series of EPs” to ”keep a presence” while they travel.
The releases will be the electronic group’s first new material in eight years, and their first outing with Gillian Gilbert back in the band as well as without Peter Hook.
Gilbert recently told Billboard: “Instead of going away for two years and writing a record and coming back, we’re going to focus on a couple of tracks at a time… This way still have time to carry on the tour while putting stuff out.”
New Order last released an original album in 2005, with an outtakes collection dropping last year. They will play Live From Jodrell Bank on 7 July.
