Following the demise of art-rock frontrunners Sonic Youth, the influential band’s singer and guitarist Kim Gordon began new project, Body/Head. Now she has announced the release of their new album, Coming Apart.
A noisy duo also comprised of Bill Nace, the group will release Coming Apart via Matador on 10 September in the US and 16 September in the UK.
Matador’s statement on the project: ”They have even started writing and playing ‘songs’ now, compositionally distinct from their purely aleatory origins, but still featuring lots of built-in improvisational space.”
