New DMX song with French Montana and Swizz Beatz released
Following DMX's death a week ago, a new song from the late rapper titled "Been To War" and featuring French Montana and Swizz Beatz has been released.
The new song, titled "Been To War", sees DMX collaborate with French Montana and Swizz Beatz, and features on the soundtrack for the second series of Epix's Godfather of Harlem, which stars Forest Whitaker.
Swizz Beatz, as Complex reports, has curated the second series soundtrack, after having already done the soundtrack for the first series in 2019.
"Been To War" is the first posthumous release from DMX, although his final song "X Moves" featuring Bootsy Collins, Steve Howe and Ian Paice appeared online just hours before he passed last Friday (9 April).
Following DMX's death last week, Ruff Ryders co-founder Darrin "Dee" Dean and the rapper's manager Craig Brodhead revealed DMX finished a new album during the pandemic.
