
New BTS docuseries and concert film coming to Disney+
BTS and Disney+ have lined up a new partnership that will feature a new docuseries on the band as well as a concert film.
The new agreement between HYBE Entertainment and The Walt Disney Asia Pacific will feature five new titles, two of which will star all BTS members. One of the new BTS releases is a docuseries planned for 2023 titled BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star, while the other is a concert film titled BTS: Permission To Dance On Stage – LA, which was filmed at the city's SoFi Stadium last year.
One of the other titles is In the Soop: Friendcation, a reality series which will star the Wooga Squad (BTS' V, actors Park Seo Joon, Choi Woo Shik and Park Hyung Sik, and Peakboy). It'll arrive on Disney+ later this month, and the first teaser trailer was unveiled yesterday (11 July).
According to Deadline, Park Ji-won, CEO of HYBE said, "This will be the start of a long-term collaboration, where we present worldwide audiences a wide range of HYBE content for fans who love our music and artists. The Walt Disney Company has a long history of franchise building and promoting musical artists, with its unparalleled brands and platforms."
