Netflix drops official trailer for Britney vs Spears documentary out next week
Netflix has unveiled the official trailer for the upcoming documentary Britney vs Spears, which will arrive on the streaming platform next week.
Back in February, it was reported that Netflix was producing its own documentary on the popstar and her conservatorship, directed by Erin Lee Carr.
After teasing the release of the official trailer on socials this week, the full trailer landed last night (22 September), and opens with the star saying, "I just want my life back".
The Guardian reports that a press release stated that the film will tell "the explosive story of Britney’s life and her public and private search for freedom" through a series of exclusive interviews and new documents.
Netflix's documentary also aims to show aspects of Spears' life "without utilizing the traumatic images that have previously defined her".
Earlier this month Spears' father Jamie Spears formally filed a petition to bring his daughter's conservatorship to an end after 13 years. A hearing is set to take place at the end of the month to determine whether Jamie Spears will be removed as conservator of Britney Spears' estate.
