Last night indie-rock newcomers Neon Waltz enjoyed an early headline show at East London’s bustling Sebright Arms.
Having played The Great Escape back in May, the Caithness six-piece showed real signs of improvement in the short set: the delivery of their carefree brand of guitar and organ-lead psych-tinged indie was bolstered by a noticeably more comfortable front-man and a better weighted set list in front of the dark, busy basement.
“Sombre Fayre” and “Bare Wood Aisles” - the two tracks that remains their only online musical content - were surrounded by similarly jaunty tracks that nod to the quality of their work to come.
