Neneh Cherry streams Four Tet-produced new single “Blank Project”
Swedish singer, Neneh Cherry is to release her first solo album in 17 years early next year, today streaming its title-track.
Blank Project is coming on 25 February via Smalltown Supersound, produced by both Four Tet and RocketNumberNine. It will feature a guest spot from fellow Scandi performer, Robyn.
“It was a liberating experience, not endlessly trying to fiddle with the music, re-recording hundreds of times,” Cherry said of the album. “These days it’s easy to create any effect or sound on a computer, it is much harder to get the rawness I think we’ve achieved.”
