Neil Young to release "hidden" Homegrown album after 45 years
Neil Young has revealed that his Homegrown album, which has been "hidden for decades", will be released next year.
Young confirmed the news on his Neil Young Archives site last week.
Homegrown was recorded back in the '70s, and has been shelved until now. The singer/songwriter revealed that it'll be released in 2020, 45 years after recording it.
The legend revealed that they have "restored the analog masters of Homegrown" despite being told that the process was "impossible" because the tapes were "too damaged to use".
Young added that Homegrown will be released in 2020, and wrote, "Made in the mid-nineteen seventies! ......A record full of love lost and explorations. A record that has been hidden for decades. Too personal and revealing to expose in the freshness of those times."
He also described Homegrown as "the unheard bridge between Harvest and Comes a Time."
