Neil Young has waived the subscription fee on his Archives site for the rest of the year.

Fans usually have to pay $2 a month (or $20 a year) to access Neil Young's Archives site material, but last week the musician announced that his archive material will be free for everyone to access for the rest of 2020.

Young wrote, "We are doing well here and feeling good. We hope you are well, too. Our hearts go out to all those families touched. If you are locked down, we are here for you with hours of listening and cruising around through the years in movies. We want you to enjoy what we have to share at NYA. … It’s my music and our lives. Peace."

His archives site gives fans access to his back catalogue, including the new Archives Volume II (1972-1976), his Fireside Sessions series, and his upcoming film Timeless Orpheum that documents his January 2019 show at the Orpheum Theater in Minneapolis.

Last week Young reportedly ended the lawsuit he filed against the Donald Trump campaign following the use of his songs at rallies without permission.
