Neil Young launches high definition music player Pono
Neil Young’s much talked-about new music player Pono has finally been unveiled, launching at SXSW and with pre-orders beginning via Kickstarter from this coming weekend.
The Ponoplayer will be a high-definition audio player, coming with with 128GB of memory and the ability to store “1,000 to 2,000 high-resolution digital-music albums”. ”Hearing Pono for the first time is like that first blast of daylight when you leave a movie theatre on a sun-filled day,” Young recently said of the device.
The product has sparked criticism, however, with some online commentators cautious of its supposed storage capacity.
