Neil Young, Jim James, Free Nationals, and more announced for Bernie Sanders digital rally
Bernie Sanders will host a digital rally tonight (16 March), featuring appearances from Neil Young, Jim James, Free Nationals, and more.
The Presidential candidate has received support from a long list of musicians, including The Strokes, Vampire Weekend, Bon Iver, Cardi B, and many orthers.
My Morning Jacket's Jim James and the Free Nationals are the latest acts to be performing in support of Sanders, this time for an online-only event.
The digital rally will also feature appearances from Neil Young and Daryl Hannah.
According to Rolling Stone, James said in a statement, "There are so many of us that just want to find common ground with all living beings so that we can move forward together as a world to live in peace, good health, and equality. Bernie speaks and lives the truth and has worked his entire life fighting for truth and justice — bringing people together for the common good and that is why I believe he can help unite us now."
Free Nationals' Kelsey Gonzalez adds, "His progressive positions on universal healthcare, immigration and education make him the clear choice for us in the primaries."
