Neil Young announces new book on improving digital sound quality
Neil Young has announced details of his new book To Feel the Music, co-written with Neil Young Archives CEO Phil Baker.
On his new reading material, Neil Young reveals it's "the story of my efforts to improve the quality of audio that you hear. It takes you through how the sound was and is compromised by the tech and record companies, and instead of improving over time like other technologies, it has become worse."
The book also explores the "business and development story behind Pono", and how they "developed Xstream high resolution streaming, the highest quality streaming in the world, as you hear on NYA."
Neil Young reveals he's been writing the book with Phil Baker for the past year.
Last month he confirmed that he's been working with Crazy Horse on their first collaborative album in seven years.
His archive site gives fans access to his complete back catalogue of material, including songs, videos, books, photographs, press notes, and much more, for just $1.99 a month, or $19.99 for the year. Neil Young gives his archive subscribers access to new material on the site before anyone else.
