Naeem links with Amanda Blank and Micah James for new track "Woo Woo Woo"
Naeem is back with another glimpse of his debut LP Startisha, in the form of new track "Woo Woo Woo" which features regular collaborators Amanda Blank and Micah James.
"Woo Woo Woo" lands after last month's Justin Vernon and Swamp Dogg collaboration "Simulation".
Naeem says of the new track, "I wrote the first verse of this song in a weed coma in a warehouse in the Fishtown neighborhood of Philadelphia, with producers Sam Green, and Grave Goods. Amanda and Micah heard the demo and demanded to be on it, the bars they added made it better than I could’ve ever imagined, and Amanda, once again, shows up everyone on the track."
Bon Iver's Justin Vernon agrees, adding, "Blank's verse on "Woo Woo Woo" is pure rap fire."
Work started on Startisha four years ago when Naeem worked with producers Sam Green and Grave Goods in Philadelphia. Following those sessions he retreated to Vernon's home studio in Minneapolis. The album includes contributions from Ryan Olson (Gayngs, Poliça), Velvet Negroni and Francis and the Lights.
