N.W.A set to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016
N.W.A. are to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016.
N.W.A. are being inducted alongside four far more traditional Rock and Roll acts: Cheap Trick, Steve Miller, Chicago, and Deep Purple.
Miller and Cheap Trick have both made the cut in their first year of eligibility: to be considered for nomination, an act needs to have released their debut single or album at least 25 years prior to the year of induction
The induction ceremony takes place 8 April at Brooklyn's Barclays Centre.
Janet Jackson, Nine Inch Nails, Chaka Khan, The Smiths, and Chic were among those losing out this time around. The Class Of 2015 included Lou Reed, Green Day, and Joan Jett and The Blackhearts.
