Mykki Blanco announces debut EP & unveils video for 'Feeling Special'

Ever-outlandish rapper, Mykki Blanco will release new EP Betty Rubble: The Initiation on 21 May.

Following last year’s peerless introductory mixtape Cosmic Angel, this marks an official debut. Speaking of the release, Blanco says:

“The Initiation EP is aptly titled as I feel the music on this release is my way of initiating listeners into the lyricism and storytelling, the hard hitting rhymes and tripped out cadences that have become the signatures of what make the Mykki Blanco sound. I know that I can be a chameleon but this EP peels back the layers of persona to reveal to you Mykki Blanco the rapper and nothing else. You can love it or hate it but this is HIP HOP.”

Below is the video for EP cut ‘Feeling Special’. Filmed in London, it imagines Blanco as golden age Hollywood pin up Lauren Bacall, writhing on the hood of a car.
