My Morning Jacket cover Songs: Ohia track “Farewell Transmission” for Jason Molina tribute album
A new tribute album in memory of late musician Jason Molina has been announced, following the Secretly Canadian artist’s death last year.
Molina, known for his cult projects Songs: Ohia and Magnolia Electric Co., passed away in March 2013 due to alcohol addiction. Now, friends and famous fans alike have come together for Farewell Transmission: The Music of Jason Molina.
The tribute album will be released on 22 April via non-profit imprint Rock The Cause. You can get a taster of it right now with My Morning Jacket’s cover of Songs: Ohia track “Farewell Transmission”.
