Music-streaming rises by 100% during 2013
The streaming of music online has doubled over the last twelve months, reports say.
Whilst criticism of music-streaming sites like Spotify and Deezer grows, the use of such software continues to rise rapidly also. The Official Charts Company note an increase of 100% during 2013, growing from 3.7 billion streams in 2012 to 7.4 billion.
Spotify in particular has been on the receiving end of much criticism over the past year, with the likes of Thom Yorke and David Byrne protesting against their low royalty payments.
