Music Finland and The Line of Best Fit team up for exclusive Record Store Day release
Developing a concept that proved successful in 2013, a 10-inch vinyl featuring six promising Finnish acts curated by us in association with Music Finland will be released on 19 April as part of Record Store Day in the US, UK and Germany.
We continue to be awed by the quality and invention in all Nordic music and Finland has shown itself to be at the centre of a creative explosion in forward thinking sounds. So we’re proud to be hooking up once again with Music Finland this exclusive Record Store Day 10″.
Featuring music from Weird World signing Jaakko Eino Kalevi, Sub Pop’s Mirel Wagner, indie-guitar ensemble NEØV, Hype Machine topping Satellite Stories as well as The New Tigers and Beastmilk, the limited edition run of 5000 will be given out for free to customers at all participating stores across the US, Germany and the UK and Ireland. (A select amount will also be circulated in France and Japan.)
Leading up to the release, Music Finland will preview the sounds on the vinyl through a commissioned series of short videos – all to be published on here in the lead up to Record Store Day so keep your eyes peeled.
