Morrissey tried to join in on #TheShowMustBePaused and it kinda backfired
Morrissey decided to post #TheShowMustBePaused hashtag on Twitter yesterday (2 June), and people aren't convinced it's genuine.
#TheShowMustBePaused, created by Jamila Thomas and Brianna Agyemang, occured yesterday (2 June), and saw the music industry come to a halt to observe the ongoing Black Lives Matter protests, and to encourage solidarity, education and support for racial equality.
Morrissey, who has previously been pretty open about his support towards For Britain - a far-right, British political group founded by anti-Islam activist Anne Marie Waters - decided to post the hashtag during yesterday's blackout, and it wasn't received very positively at all...

Multiple responses link to JPEGMAFIA's Veteran track "I Cannot Fucking Wait Til Morrissey Dies", some have scorned him for being "part of the problem", and other users have flagged his habit of making controversial statements with race involved.
This can’t be the same @officialmoz who posted a racist video on his website about Stormzy headlining Glastonbury. Come the fuck on. https://t.co/g0qBok7fPf
