Morrissey still in hospital following virus
Morrissey’s U.S tour was recently cancelled after the singer fell ill with a virus. Now, over a fortnight later, it appears that Moz remains in hospital.
One of the scrapped shows was a New York outing with opening act (and veteran crooner) Cliff Richard. Saddened by the news, Richard decided to host a free show for fans instead at the Gramercy Theater.
According to Rock NYC, Richard told fans at the show that Morrissey was still hospitalised but that he’d be happy to support Moz again if the opportunity arises.
Meanwhile, Morrissey’s upcoming new album World Peace Is None Of Your Business is set to be released on 14 July as planned. You can watch a video trailer for new track “Earth Is The Loneliest Planet” (starring Pamela Anderson) below.
