Morrissey claims protester at his Portland show was planted by the British press
Morrissey has shared a new post on his site in which he implies that the protester from his Portland show was purposely planted by the British press.
A protester attended his show in Portland, Oregon last week and tried to heckle Morrissey over his support of the far-right.
Stereogum reports that the protestor held up signs that stated "BIGMOUTH INDEED" and a crossed-out For Britain logo.
Morrissey stopped his Portland show mid-song to address the protester, and didn't carry on until the protester left.
He also cancelled his Seattle show after being heckled in Portland.
Addressing the issue on his Morrissey Central site, Morrissey shared an image of the crowd at his San Diego show, writing, "no 'politically offended protestors' (as paid for and planted in the crowd by the British press) in sight …"
