Mogwai reveal expansive industrial epic "Bitterness Centrifuge"
Scottish post-rockers Mogwai have revealed "Bitterness Centrifuge", a new song from upcoming LP Atomic.
The record is formed from new versions of music included on the OST for Mark Cousins' Atomic: Living In Dread and Promise, a 2015 BBC Four documentary constructed completely from archival footage about life in the nuclear age.
"Bitterness Centrifuge" welds thudding half-time rhythms with tidal rolls of metallic synth - it's not as forgiving as other previews of the album, and feels more like a long-lost John Carpenter theme.
Atomic is given a digital release on 1 April, with the CD/2xLP available on 17 June.
